I feel honoured to be provided the privilege to be the PAOCA President for 2013 and would like to thank the members and Committee for allowing me this opportunity.
I would like to thank our new Immediate Past President, Graham Burfield, for his valued contribution and effort as President in 2012. Graham has done a considerable amount of work during his term to greatly support our regional and interstate events as well as continuing to develop ways to improve our communication with members and the Princes community.
I would also like to thank two of our retiring 2012 Committee members in Peter Brooks and Bob Snewin.
Peter has served on the Committee for 15 years and held the role as President for two terms over that time. Peter has been a fantastic contributor to the PAOCA community and his passion will be missed on our Committee. Bob has served on our Committee since 2008 and has done an outstanding job in overseeing our sponsorship portfolio, and convening a number of our events over the years. Bob has been a true and passionate member of our Committee.
We thank both Peter and Bob for their service and contribution to the Committee, and wish them all the best.
One of the key areas I would like to address during my term as the Association’s President is to continue to improve the level of communication with our members, the PAOCA sporting and social clubs and the wider Princes community. I think it is important that our members are kept informed of the work the PAOCA is doing for its members and the events available for all of our members to attend.
We have already begun planning a number of events and new initiatives which we look forward to informing our members and the wider College community in due course.
I encourage our members to come along and participate in one of our many events to be held throughout 2013, and look forward to seeing you all at some stage throughout the year.
