On Friday 20 August, 36 students from the Year 12 Class of 1970 and 7 Masters gathered at the Adelaide Showgrounds for a night of reminiscing and remembering.
The evening was chaired by Craig Moffat. Paul Cuthbertson proposed a well-prepared Toast to the School, to which Prep Headmaster Neil Andary responded.
One of the highlights of the night was the address by Geoff Bean who began his era as Headmaster in 1970. His public appearances are limited these days but in his usual style, Geoff had the students of 1970 hanging on his every word.
A DVD of our times at school had us all wishing we were that young again, and a great night of reminiscing concluded with an entertaining circuit of the room where attendees introduced themselves and spoke of their life since school days, after which several of the customary Old Scholars’ ties were presented.
